7 Steps to building a centrepiece staircase
A feature on the staircase we built as part of Bendigo Bank’s office fitout in Melbourne.
From digital planning to the final touches, this centrepiece staircase reflects the precision, creativity, and complexity our team brings to every project.
Working in a live environment, we delivered a multi-level feature staircase with minimal disruption, reduced build time, and optimised cost; all while navigating tight spatial constraints and service clashes.
The journey combined advanced digital planning, precise concrete cut-throughs, and on-site steel fabrication. The strong and precisely engineered frame was installed using gantry and hoist systems, supported by safe work platforms for high-level tasks. Each tread was fitted bottom-up with harnessed safety measures, and the final balustrade lowered into place to complete the feature.
This staircase isn’t just a structural element, it’s a symbol of smart design, expert delivery, and collaborative execution.
Thank you to the client and all of our partners that made this build possible.
